Lhakpa Ri in Tibet at 7045 m is widely regarded as the easiest peak over 7000 m. Because of its relative ease and high altitude it has become a very popular climbing objective for those wishing to venture into the realm of high altitude Himalayan expeditions. It sits in a stunning position opposite the North Ridge of Mt. Everest, across the upper East Rongbuk Glacier. The views from its summit of the surrounding mountains are stunning and for such a straight forward ascent, unmatched by any in the Himalayas.
