Rinji Sherpa has guided trekking tours as well high peak climbing expeditions for over 2 decades. He has taken huge numbers of clients to the summits of many peaks in Nepal and Tibet including Cho Oyu,and Shisha Pangma, both which are over 8000m high. He speaks English, Japanese, Nepali and Hindi and has worked with many Japanese and German clients. Rinji is also a great cook and can cook continental food for his western clients as well as prepare Japanese meals for his Japanese clients. Rinji started his career as a porter (the most basic job in trekking) and later he joined a cooking course and started serving as a cook for several years. Afterwards, he took the Trekking Guide Course conducted by the Department of Tourism Ministry, the Mountaineering Training conducted by the Nepal Mountaineering Association and the Wilderness First Aid course by KEEP. With so much initiative and his passion for trekking and mountaineering, he’s become one of our most valued tour leaders leading treks across Nepal, Tibet, and India.
