This trekking area is one of the wildest and most scenic areas in Nepal. It joins the beautiful and remote valley of Langtang with the high mountain lakes at Gosainkunda. From the great forests of rhododendrons, to the conifers on the more gradual slopes, and the high alpine yak pastures, to the main Lake of Gosaikunda set high among the peaks, this trek allows us to experience the entire scope of Himalayan geology.

Langtang Village and the close by monestry in Kyangin, Langtang are populated by locals of Tibetan heritage who once migrated thought the towns though Dhunche, Barkhu and Syabru.  Further down on the center slopes we also find many villages with locals of Tamang heritage

Gosainkunda Lake draws in a lot of people year round, many on a pilgrimage to take the heavenly plunge in the hallowed water of this holy lake. Along this route, we can also see a variety of wild animals such as mountain goats, deer and birds. The botanical life is also abundant. The mountain peaks of Ganesh, Langtang and Jugal Himalaya keep us company here. They are the most accessible ranges from, Kathmandu, and popular with trekkers on account of this proximity.  The panoramic view point of the mighty Himalayan Range from the highest point of this slope is considered to be one of the best rivaling that of Poon Hill in the Annapurna Region without the crowds.
