Potala Palace, built beautifully atop of a single hill, is one of the most famous destinations in all over Tibet. Being the former winter home of the 14th Dalai Lama, Potala Palace holds a high value to many Tibetans and Buddhists around the globe. Jokhang Temple houses some of Tibet’s most valuable sacred artifacts– a golden Shakyamuni Buddha which was gifted by the Chinese Princess Wen Cheng on the event of her marriage to the Tibetan King Songtsen Gampo. We will also visit the Barkhor Street Market, where you will get to experience the local vibe of the city and experience Tibetan culture. Many Tibetans circumambulate on this one-way circled praying road in the hope to defeat evil practices or sorrowful pains and lead the prayers to obtain the infinite virtues along with intellectual consciousness. Once the sightseeing is over, you will be transferred to your respected hotels and this will conclude the second day. Overnight in Lhasa. Bed and breakfast included.

Founded by Sakya Yeshe in 1419, Sera Monastery is one of Lhasa’s great three Gelugpa monasteries. Here, you will get an opportunity to debate and converse with monks and get a glimpse of the Tibetan monks’ daily life while exploring this historical Buddhist academy. Sitting in a northern suburb of Lhasa at the base of Pubuchok Mountain, Sera monastery covers 28 acres/11 hectares of land. During its former prime time, the monastery held 5 separate colleges of instruction, where more than 5,000 monks resided. But in comparison, the monastery is significantly smaller today. Unlike many other historical places that were destroyed, the Sera monastery managed to escape complete loss from the inevitable damage and has undergone restorations. When you visit, you will be able to observe the surviving three functioning educational institutes of Sera. Once the sightseeing is complete, you will get a chance to explore the city and shop or perform your activities. Overnight in Lhasa. Bed and breakfast included.
